Abel Mulugheta is a Dallas-based attorney and government affairs professional behind PolicyPoint, a public policy and regulatory consulting firm. He advises companies and organizations on navigating complex state and local policy environments, with a focus on regulatory strategy, stakeholder engagement, and business growth.
Abel previously served in senior leadership roles in the Texas Legislature, where he worked on a wide range of policy issues and helped manage significant legislative activity on behalf of a senior member. He has also held executive-level roles in the private sector, providing strategic guidance on regulatory and operational matters across multiple markets.
He currently leads a nonprofit organization focused on advancing industry engagement with local government and addressing key operational and policy challenges. His experience includes working closely with elected officials, government agencies, and industry leaders across Texas.
Abel holds a Juris Doctor from SMU Dedman School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin.
